Final Track
This is a project for a Project and Portfolio class. The style for this project is overall acoustic. There are some synth sounds to compliment. This project is demonstrating skills that have been taught.
The project is 32 measures long and in simple 4\4 time. The tempo stays at a steady 120 bpm. The rhythm and bass section follow each other closely. The rhythm is a simple pattern with some flare in the snare section. An audio percussion loop also is present. The bass line uses notes that come from the chord progression. A synth bass is also used to help enhance the sound of the acoustic bass.
The key of C Major is used through the whole project. The harmony chords used are C F G CM7 Dm Em Bdim A. In the beginning the chords do not follow a pattern, then halfway through a consist pattern is kept. A classic piano and a synth piano pad were used to make the sound for the chords. The melody is a mix of arch and interval notes. A guitar sound is used for the melody.
For the recorded audio a hand clap is used to go with the snare. A sampler instrument is present in this project. The noise of a person popping their finger out of their check is the original sound.
The melody is the focus of the mix. No panning was used in this project. Dynamic effects include Channel EQ and Compressor. They are placed on every track besides the synths and the audio loop. Time-based effects include two Aux tracks named Echo and Tape Delay. They are used on the Melody and the Clap.
